I've been working diligently on a Hip Hop/Jazz fusion album entitled Oakland In Blue. It's a musical mash up Do D.A.T./Duke Ellington; I've got a some extremely talented beat smiths to dig into the illustrious catalog of Mr Edward "Duke" Ellington to make a sound that elevates & coincides with the bay area independent spirit.. not to "toot my own horn" (pun intended) but i am beyond pleased with the results and i hope to see you at the Somar bar this Sunday for a free sneak peak listening session!!! Ya know, this detox shit just might be clean.. i'm still on the fence 10 years is a long time. I saw something eles on youtube where Dj Quick was saying Dre Got enough for 7 Detoxes. Anyways i'm light weight feeling this song.

Peace beautiful people, big shot to all the hip hoppers!

Big Shout Nicaragua, Guatemala El Salvador, Livingston displace africans that speak spanish, big ass roaches, Maya civilization, Cold Showers, dope beaches, missing family members, long bus rides, 7 dollar bottles of rum, Tito the Captain! Strugglers Hustlers young and old, Big ass ants, and last but certainly not least my boo lol! I left the U.S for the 1st time ya'll ! broadened my horizons! I hella lucky ,in a few ways i'll give you 5.

1: I have a place to live with clean running hot water.

2: My Nieces and Nephews have shoes on they feet .

3:I got to climb to the top of Some real live Pyramids.




4: I got to give my music out some folks in Livingston.


5: I met some good people doing good work in Guatemala.

all i gots to say is i'm hella lucky to have been where i been and seen what i seen. I'm very apperciative to have had that experince.

Anicdote.
I was coming out a resturant in livingston and i see this young'n looking at me. I didn't catch the boys name but he had a curious look on his face so i gave him a Attik cd, he look at the cover and back at me a few times smiles widely and gives a sincere "thank you" in broken english. i replied "de nada" in equally broken spanish, it made me feel good cause i could see he was pleasntly surprised to recieve his gift. that felt better than getting money for the cd.

I was trippin off how you could be poor in these other countries and it seems like you have lil to no chance of changing your position and acquiring abetter postion in life. Americans should take advantage of every opportunity you get on the road paved with gold cause it's real out here!

I learn How the Military in Guatemala was snatching up anyone; and i mean anyone and the family who had ties to "politcal organizations" Folks just gone with out a trace...scandless.
